Sand Castle Blast - Our Game Board - Current State

We have spent the last two years (off and on) working on a "skin" for one of our favorite board games.  I wanted to start documenting the progress.  Since it's already in the works, I will start with pics of the work we've done so far.
These are part of the playing cards we had designed for the game - this is maybe half the needed types of cards.  Some of the basic designs are staying the same, but most of these have already been redesigned.  Just waiting for a good day to tackle printing!

The game board itself is made up of 19 of these "hex tiles" with different images hand-painted (by me) on them representing the different resources (water, umbrellas, and sand shown here) you're trying to collect in the game.  There are supposed to be 5 types of tiles/resources and that's what we messed up in this version... we only ended up with 3!  Woops!

The exterior of the board is made up of 6 of these shapes, also hand-painted.  The piers are part of the game, but the rest is just decoration.  In the new version, we are changing from piers to wooden signs and we are just going to use another row of hex tiles all the way around instead of trying to work with these pieces - they are VERY inaccurate and make the board push into wonky shapes.

These are some of the game pieces - the yellow sandcastles also come in 3 other colors, one set for each possible player (4 max) and are worth different amounts of points.  The number pieces have to do with board set-up and rolling the dice.  The sandcastles were cut by Derrick's dad, the circles were bought pre-cut at Hobby Lobby and they were all hand-painted.
